Excited to see what Beach Riot has in store!!! I've made a poem, hope you like!

A damsel in Beach Riot is never in distress
Let the sea set you free never the less
Pump that body that you have all year round
So when it is summer, no worries or frowns
Be healthy in your mind, body, and spirit
Don't let others get you down, you can listen or not hear it
Return to the place that will always be your home
To recollect your thoughts if you ever feel so alone
Dip yourself into the ocean, where your problems slip away
You can always find a friend here, every night, and every day.

Live Free and Let the Sun shine through your spirit. Brighten the world with the way you walk down the beach rocking your Beach Riot bikini!

I hope I win! I asm in desperate need of a new bikini!

How can I compete with the poem!!!?? DANG!
All I got to say is I hope I can rock a Beach Riot Swimsuit in Hawaii soon!
Just got back from Costa Rica and I am in need of new suits to surf in!
Love the name, keep on being awesome!
Us sunchildren need BEACH RIOT IN OUR LIFE~

Hi Nicole,

Congrats and kudos to you for making the bold move to start your own swim line!

As a writer and fellow creative, I know the hard work it takes to create art and I'd like to offer you some advice as you begin your new and exciting journey.

I, like many of artists out there, constantly shift between two states. The first (and far more preferable of the two) is white-hot, "in the zone" seat-of-the-pants, firing on all cylinders creative mode. This is when you lay your pen down and the ideas pour out like wine from a royal chalice! This happens about 3% of the time.

The other 97% of the time I am in the frustrated, struggling, office-corner-full-of-crumpled-up-paper mode. The important thing is to slog diligently through this quagmire of discouragement and despair. Seek out advice and listen to the stories of professionals who have been designing for decades going through the same slings and arrows of problems.

In a word: PERSIST.

PERSIST on telling your story. PERSIST on reaching your audience. PERSIST on staying true to your vision.
Coco Chanel had it right when she said "The most courageous act is still to think for yourself. Aloud."
And she of all people should know.

So next time you hit a roadblock or feel discouraged, just remember: you're never far from that next burst of divine creativity. Work through that 97% of murky abyssmal mediocrity to get to that 3% which everyone will remember you for!

I guarantee you, the art will be well worth the work!

Sincerely,

Summer

"ADVENTURE IS OUT THERE!"

Nicole, Seriously.... You're Killing it.

Without the water some of us would be nothing...and without your bikinis we'd be wearing nothing either.

Can't wait to bring the riot to the Left Coast.

Right Coast that is...

Nicole, been a huge fan of tavik forever and so excited to see the brilliant things you've created for your new line.

For many designers, inspiration can be a fickle thing. Most designers, when lacking ideas, turn to similar mediums to find ideas. But there are a few problems with that approach. The most obvious is that when taking inspiration that way, there’s a fine line between “inspired by” and “copied”. Since you're already a creative genius, I'm sure you rarely have trouble finding inspiration...nonetheless, here are some ideas for finding inspiration in uncommon sources:

Architecture: The world of architecture and interior design holds a huge variety of potential sources of inspiration- From vernacular architecture to modern minimalism to art deco and everything in between!
Photography
Board games: They have fantastic color schemes and graphic elements. Sometimes the layouts of the games themselves can be used as a source of inspiration.
The natural world
Travel-No explanation needed!
Music
Food
Illustrated picture books
Movies and TV

Stepping away from the places we normally seek inspiration can lead to a whole new world of creative sources! Best of luck to you on your new journey...you have a fan in me!

Nicole,

You're hardly in need of any words of inspiration because you're already an inspiration to girls everywhere!

Nevertheless, what I can tell you is that true success comes when you are faithful to that which exists within yourself (which, from the looks of it seems like you've got down pretty well!).

Be deliberate and afraid of nothing. Once you resolve to be daring, different, and impractical, you assert integrity of purpose and create vision against the play-it-safers and creatures of the commonplace. The power of imagination makes you infinite.

Words to live by: "Nothing is impossible, the word itself says 'I'm possible'!"

I remind myself of this whenever I'm feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. I have no doubt that you're new line is going to be a riot. Looking forward to getting my hands on one of your bikinis soon!

Rock on, Nicole!
